    This post doctoral research position is being funded by NHS Blood and Transplant Tissue Services (BT TS). You will work in the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (iMBE) within Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology on this exciting new project as part of a multidisciplinary team investigating medical engineering solutions for the ageing population and specifically the further development of large diameter acellular vascular biological scaffolds which fulfil clinical needs as graft materials. The project will involve the research and development of the scaffolds, pre-clinical studies and collaboration with NHS BT TS in their clinical translation.

    You will have a PhD (or be expecting to obtain this qualification shortly) in tissue engineering or a related Biological Science. You will also have experience of project management and working both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is a willingness to work flexibly and travel to collaborating institutes.
