  • Career Advice for an MSME Graduate

I recently graduated from Purdue University with a Master's degree in mechanical engineering. My research focused on haptics in education, but I'd really like to focus on a career in biomechanics and rehabilitation. Before working toward a PhD in this area, I would like some industry experience in these areas. I've since been living in my home state of NJ but am open to living in a place which can advance my career in this direction.

I've posted in this thread seeking advice from those who have worked in both research and industry positions, as I've applied to positions in both. My goal is to explore what aspects of biomechanics/rehabilitation I might like before applying to any PhD programs. If you have suggestions regarding how I should pursue positions, where to look (i.e. websites or institutions/companies), or what trends in research I can further look into, I'd greatly appreciate it!

    Sincerely,
    Carolyn
