    A Postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Zymetrix - Bose Center for Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering Technology Development at the University of Calgary, Canada.

    The position will be focused on projects involving Tissue Engineering aspects relating to soft tissue components (cartilage, ligament & vascular tissue) and their interaction with different energy MRI systems (e.g. 1.5T, 3T, 9.4T). Identifying appropriate imaging protocols, characterizing mechanical properties and biological viability of various soft tissues within various loading and imaging environments will be a key responsibility of the PDF position.
    The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team comprised of leading academic researchers and industry, under the Center Director (Dr. Janet Ronsky).

    The successful candidate will have a PhD in a Tissue Engineering related discipline with an excellent academic and published record. The candidate must be able to work independently and be self motivated. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a requirement. Experience in supervisory roles and project management is an asset.

    The position, starting September 1, 2011, (or until filled) is for a minimum of 1 year, with an option to renew.
