  • Faculty Position - St Ambrose University Physical Therapy Department

    St. Ambrose University welcomes qualified candidates to apply for a full time, 12-month tenure track position in the Physical Therapy Department. The candidate will be joining a well-established department with faculty members who are actively engaged in teaching, scholarship, service, and clinical practice. The mission of the Department is to provide high quality professional and post-professional education for physical therapists. The Department is housed in the new Center for Health Sciences Education and is one of the University’s five health science departments. We provide the only clinical residency program for physical therapists in the State of Iowa and will be opening a new motion analysis laboratory in the fall.

    Candidates for this position should have an earned terminal doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD) and be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of Iowa. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and evidence of scholarly works will enhance the candidate’s application.

    The ideal candidate should have expertise in one of the following areas: Cardiopulmonary, Exercise Physiology, Pediatrics, or Geriatrics. Those with experience in a motion analysis laboratory are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of this position include teaching in areas of expertise, advising and mentoring students, serving on department and university committees and implementing a scholarship agenda.
