PhD studentship in Biomechanics / Sport Physiology / Strength and Conditioning
Description:
A full time PhD studentship is available in the Department of Health and Physical Education, The Hong Kong Institute of Education (Hong Kong). We have the 300+m2 Human Performance Laboratory (https://sites.google.com/site/hplhkied) that houses state-of-the-art equipment for the measurement and analysis of human performance and physiology. Our current research focuses on the optimization of sport performance, injury prevention, and heat stress adaptation (for details http://www.ied.edu.hk/hpe/view.php?secid=134).
Studentship:
The studentship provides a monthly stipend (either US$1800 or US$2600 depending on the qualification of the candidate) to each awardee for a period of three years. For awardees who need more than three years to complete their PhD studies, additional support may be provided by the chosen institutions.
The following are essential:- Bachelor Degree with first or upper second class honours (or equivalent) in Sport and Exercise Science, or other relevant disciplines.
- Masters Degree in a relevant subject.
- An interest in research aligned with current projects
The following are desirable:- Previous experience of publication in international journals.
