A postdoctoral fellow position in cell biomechanics is available in the laboratory of Prof. Hongshen Ma, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Our research group develops microfluidics technologies for studying cell biomechanics and then applies these technologies to study diseases, such as cancer and malaria. More information on our research is available at www.mech.ubc.ca/~mdl
We welcome applicants with background in microfluidics and bioengineering. Previous experience in cell biomechanics, microfabrication, cell tissue culture, biophysics, and bioinstrumentation would be an asset. Please email your statement of interest, CV (with contact information for references), and example publications to hongma@mech.ubc.ca.
