  • Seeking for a PhD position in Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Robotics

I am Ghasem Karimi M.S. graduate in mechanical engineering.
My research interest is in the area of lower extremity prosthetics, robotics and biomechanics of human gait.
I have carried out extensive researches in these areas for about 9 years, and I have already done my B.S. and M.S. thesis on “Optimization of Above-Knee Prosthesis with Biomechanical and Passive Dynamic Considerations”.
In order to persue my studies I am seeking for a PhD position in Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Robotics.
Please inform me if you know any position around the mentioned area.
    Thank you in advance.

    Ghasem.

Re: Seeking for a PhD position in Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Robotics

    Dear Ghasem,

There is an absolutely wonderful place called the School of Applied Physiology at The Georgia Institute of Technology. We have an NIH training grant which focuses heavily on all things related to physiology and prosthesis use. We even have a clinical department that trains new prosthetists and orthotists. It is warm, collaborative environment with excellent connections to many other GT departments; including robotics labs.

I have listed a link to our department's homepage. Please feel free to reach out and make contact to gain more information.

    Thanks,

    Bill Cusack
