    The following position is available in our San Diego, California location. Qualifications.
    Engineer will work in a team environment developing finite element and mathematical models of physiological systems. Responsibilities include model development, validation of models against experimental data obtained from literature; support of validation, verification, and accreditation (VV&A) of software; documentation of model through written reports; and publications of models in peer-reviewed journals. Must have the ability to critically analyze and interpret models and data from scientific literature. Must be able to work in a team, have strong communication skills, and the ability to carry out independent study.
    Requirements:
    • MS in Bioengineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering, plus 4 years of experience OR a PhD.
    • Experience with finite element modeling of biological systems
    • Modeling of biomechanical systems.
    • Calibrating material models from tests
    • U.S Citizenship (required by contract)
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills and the ability to carry out independent study

    Desired:
    • LS-Dyna experience
    • Matlab
    • TrueGrid or HyperMesh
    • Experience planning and conducting tests
    • 3.4/4.0 or equivalent G.P.A of related courses is highly desirable
