  • Department Chairperson position in Physical Therapy at East TN State University

    East Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time position as Department Chairperson of the Physical Therapy Department. The fully accredited program includes seven full-time faculty, a shared position with the Quillen VA Medical Center and two adjunct faculty from the Quillen College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy. The department is searching for a person with enthusiasm and vision to guide the faculty in continued growth within a vibrant Division of Health Sciences. The Chair will be responsible for establishing a departmental research agenda including grant writing and mentoring junior faculty. In addition, the College has a new interdisciplinary clinical facility that will be opening in 2012 and physical therapy will participate with the other allied health and primary care disciplines.

    Qualifications: Appropriate physical therapy related doctoral degree is preferred; a proven research record, including peer-reviewed publications and documentation of extramural grant applications; educational leadership experience preferred, familiarity with CAPTE accreditation; and a minimum of three years of clinical experience.
