Graduate Research Assistantship in Biomechanics and Energetics of Human Locomotion

We are recruiting a doctoral student in Kinesiology for Fall 2012 to work on projects related to the biomechanics and energetics of human locomotion. The position is funded in part by a grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation on the evolution of bipedalism, and will involve a combination of experimental and modeling work. Ideal candidates will have some prior training in functional anatomy/morphology, musculoskeletal modeling, computer simulation, and experimental lab procedures (e.g., motion capture, force recording, EMG), as well as a natural curiosity about biological systems and how they work.
