Master of Science in Exercise Fitness and Health Promotion
The Division of Health and Human Performance at George Mason University is seeking highly motivate graduate students for a 2-year Master of Science in Exercise Fitness and Health Promotion. Students will be associated with the Sports Medicine Assessment, Research & Testing Laboratory (SMART Lab), which has a research agenda that strives to enhance the quality of life for all physically active individuals through the development and improvement of methods for the prevention, recognition, and treatment of injury and disease. Students completing this degree may pursue further academic study (e.g., doctoral degree) or are prepared professionals equipped to more adequately serve their communities.
The SMART Lab faculty collaborates within the University with Departments of Bioengineering, Proteomics, Health Sciences, and Computer Science. Students are encouraged to be involved in existing faculty research and with a multidisciplinary approach.

Graduate Research Assistantships are available on a highly competitive basis, pending funding availability. Students applying for the program are welcome to apply for the Research Assistantships. Students will be notified if they were awarded the competitive research assistantship.
Fall 2012 applications deadline is April 1, 2012.
