  • Tenure-eligible or clinical-track Assistant/Associate Professor position at UB

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University at Buffalo (UB) is seeking to fill one full-time tenure-eligible or clinical-track Assistant/Associate Professor position. The ability to teach within the orthopedic curriculum is highly desirable.
The physical therapy bachelor’s program started in 1952 and our first DPT class was enrolled in 2001. Our curriculum stresses clinical training with 52 weeks of clinical experience starting in the first year of the program. We are currently CAPTE accredited through 2017. The Department of Rehabilitation houses dynamic and interactive programs in physical and occupational therapy, along with a PhD program in rehabilitation. The department is housed in the newly renovated Kimball Tower with new teaching laboratory space and state-of-the-art balance, biomechanics and exercise science research facilities, plus access to the new interdisciplinary simulation center.
The University at Buffalo is a major public research university and is a member of the Association of American Universities. The Physical Therapy program is located within UB’s newly accredited School of Public Health and Health Professions and is part of UB’s health science center which includes Schools of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dental Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. Together, these schools provide a rich environment for collaborative research across the health policy, population health, clinical and basic sciences.
CNBC recently named Buffalo #2 on its “Best Cities to Relocate to in America” list. Buffalo has a thriving arts scene, a rich architectural heritage, abundant water sports, excellent school systems, and a cost of living that is 14.4% below the national average. Buffalo has over 20 parks, along with Niagara Falls; it has earned the nickname, “City of Trees”. For sports fans, the UB teams, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres provide plenty of entertainment.
