The lab is very well equipped with custom made models of the foot and the knee and shoulder joints, that simulate motion in anatomic specimens with computer regulated actuators. A Kuka KR60 robot with force sensor feedback has lately been used for in-vitro and in-vivo joint motion studies. There are several testing systems, such as an MTS 858 axional-torsional material testing machine.
