Request for Applications – NIH T32 Postdoctoral Training Program
TREET: Training in Rehabilitation Efficacy and Effectiveness Trials
The University of Southern California seeks applications for T32 candidates. The Training in Rehabilitation Efficacy and Effectiveness Trials (TREET) program is a two-year postdoctoral training program that provides intensive, mentored training in randomized controlled trial (RCT) methodology for the evaluation of complex rehabilitation interventions. TREET is jointly administered through the USC Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy.
TREET trainees will be immersed in externally funded clinical trial research programs in the following areas: neurorehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, protective and risk factors in adults with disabilities, community-based rehabilitation, and innovative technology.
Trainees are fully funded for two years. Upon completion of the two year program, trainees will be expected to have published a minimum of three research articles, given a minimum of two poster or paper presentations, and have submitted an NIH proposal for an R, F, or K award.
Eligibility
• Ph.D. in a field related to rehabilitation within the last 5 years. Clinical doctoral degrees (e.g. MD, OTD, DPT) will be considered in exceptional cases in which significant research experience is documented.
• History of productive involvement in research relevant to rehabilitation science
• All candidates must be U.S. citizens, Non-Citizen Nationals, or Permanent Residents
Review Criteria
Applications will be reviewed by the TREET Administrative Oversight Committee. Award Notification will be made in early April 2012 via email.
