A fully funded position is available on a competitive basis to obtain a masters degree in applied health sciences, as a member of the Electromyographic Kinesiology Laboratory at Brock University. The ideal candidate will have overlapping interests in biomechanics and nervous system control of skeletal muscle during static and dynamic contractions. Both surface and indwelling electromyographic techniques are used in conjunction with evoked potentials to evaluate the neuromuscular system subsequent to exercise in both health and diseased states. Candidates should have a background in biomechanics with a specific interest in electromyography and have computer programming skills and/or MATLAB experience.
