Applications are now being accepted for a new full-time, tenure track faculty position in the expanding entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program
The position is a 12-month appointment with teaching, scholarship, and service required. Qualified applicants are physical therapists with eligibility for licensure in Maine, will have earned a terminal academic research degree (Ph.D, Ed.D, DSc preferred), and have an active scholarship agenda.
Clinical expertise or university teaching experience involving patients/clients with impairments of cardiopulmonary, integumentary, or metabolic systems is desirable. Additional credentials (e.g., DPT; ABPTS certification; acute care experience, exercise physiology training) are a plus. Rank
and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
Current faculty members in the Department of Physical Therapy maintain active teaching, scholarship, and service collaborations within the university, with clinicians and researchers in the local community, and with investigators from around the country. New collaborations are welcome.
