    Reader in Sport Science
University of Lincoln - College of Social Science
    Salary from 45,486 - 52,706 per annum

    Post reference: HLSS2389

The School of Sport, Coaching and Exercise Science is a vibrant department that provides a high quality educational experience led by enthusiastic academics. Recruitment across the provision is strong and has seen sustained growth since the creation of the department in 2006. The University has excellent sport science and practical facilities, and the good health of the student experience was confirmed through the National Student Survey (2009) that ranked the subject area 5th out of 71 Higher Education Institutions. As well as a coherent and attractive integrated portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes we wish to establish a strong research profile including a competitive performance in REF 2014, significantly increasing external income and international student recruitment.

The Reader will contribute to the academic activities of the School, with a particular focus on research, research leadership and enterprise, but also on teaching and learning. The academic staff of the School of Sport, Coaching and Exercise Science are gathering momentum as a research-ambitious group. With extremely high motivation and a resolve to succeed, the School will benefit greatly from the example, guidance, inspiration and direction of an established researcher appointed to the level of a Reader. The School's research direction has scope to celebrate one of the current endeavours of the group and flexibility to build on the expertise and interest of the appointed candidate.
