Funding is available for a Ph.D. research assistantship starting in the fall of 2012 at East Carolina University.
Degree Offered:
Ph.D. in Bioenergetics and Exercise Science
Responsibilities:
Research assistants are expected to contribute 20 hour per week towards laboratory research.
Current Research:
This position will focus on age related changes in skeletal muscle material properties and how these changes affect the response to exercise.
Stipend:
Full Assistantship stipend is $24,000 for nine months.
Qualifications:
M.S. in a relevant discipline. As the proposed work is multidisciplinary in nature, students from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
