    The goal of Oxylane ( is to make sport more enjoyable for everyone. All over the world, this purpose is expressed through two complementary areas of expertise:
    - The design and manufacture of sporting goods
    - The retail of sporting goods
    With more than 6 Billion Euros Turnover, 600 stores and 50 000 people in our staff, Oxylane is a network of international companies. In order to develop more comfortable products, a Research Department was created in 1997. Today, in this spirit, Oxylane Research (, employs more than 40 researchers, and wants to reinforce its Research department dedicated to footwear, in the brand “Essensole”.

    Lead ambitious research programs on the modelling of foot – sole – ground interaction, and the mechanical characterisation of associated materials. Perform advanced mechanical models and validate them experimentally.
    Work with conception teams to improve compounds, construction of products.
    Develop innovative footwear products improving biomechanics and human physiology to guarantee a long-lasting health.

    Job description:
    - You organize and manage research programs in collaboration with research labs all over the world.
    - You develop new numerical models and set-up experimental protocols
    - You transfer your scientific findings into technical innovative solutions.
    - You patent your inventions and guarantee confidentiality and industrial property of your projects.
    - You publish your knowledge and findings.

    This is a full-time job, with salary according to experience, based in Decathlon Campus, Villeneuve d’Ascq (North of France).

    Appropriate candidate:

    With an engineering and/or PhD background, you have lead and published research projects on human body in the fields of biomechanics or mechanics of materials, and have a strong competency in finite element methods.
    A successful experience in product design in the industry would be strongly appreciated.

    You have a strong ability for team working, autonomy, creativity and are both rigorous and open-minded. You are also able to convince and have strong communication skills.

    You are an active sportsman or sportswoman.

    You speak fluently English and French.
