3 New Doctoral Fellow Positions, 1 New Post-Doctoral Research Position
The Warrior Research Center (WRC) and Neuromechanics Research Laboratory (NuRL) within the Department of Kinesiology at Auburn University is accepting applications for 3 new doctoral level graduate research assistants and a post-doctoral research fellow. These funded positions include research responsibilities in conjunction with on-going funded projects within the NuRL and WRC, focusing on musculoskeletal injury prevention and developing evidence-based medicine approaches to treatment and rehabilitation. They may also include teaching within the Department of Kinesiology. The WRC works closely with Auburn University’s new MRI Research Center and the Department of Kinesiology’s new Sport Performance and Optimization Center. Research opportunities include field and lab based projects utilizing physiological, motion capture, postural control, neuromuscular and imaging assessments.

Additional Salary Information: Doctoral positions include full tuition waver and stipends. These positions will be 12 month appointments with option to renew contingent upon review and grant funding. The doctoral positions may begin May, June or August 2012. The Post-doctoral position will begin ASAP and is funded through March 2013.
Admission to the Graduate School and in-person interview is required for doctoral positions. An athletic training certification is preferred but not required, with a master’s degree in a discipline of sports medicine, biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise physiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or related field desired. Research and clinical experience is preferred.
Post-doctoral position requires a PhD in a related field, and excellent writing and research skills with a record of successful research activity. Mentoring, data collection and analysis, project development and ability to work with a team is required. Teaching opportunities may also be available.
