There are two immediate openings for postdoctoral research fellows in the Polymeric Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Laboratory at the University of Michigan. The positions are in the following areas:
(1) Mesenchymal stem cells
(2) Cartilage/Disc regeneration
(3) Bone regeneration
The candidates must have a PhD or MD in a related field of biological sciences, orthopaedic research, or biomedical engineering. The research projects will focus on the biological aspects of regeneration, in collaboration with biomedical engineers and biomaterials scientists in the laboratory. Experience and publications in stem cell biology, tissue regeneration, histology, biochemistry and molecular biology are required. Experience in animal surgeries is a plus.
