  • Funded M.S. Position – Tissue Mechanics - Boise State University

    A graduate research assistant (GRA) position is available starting Fall 2012 within The Northwest Tissue Mechanics (NTM) Laboratory at Boise State University in Boise, ID. The GRA is expected to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and will conduct research in experimental and computational biomechanics. The primary goal of the NTM laboratory is to improve the clinical care of musculoskeletal disease by investigating the effect of mechanical loading on connective-tissue physiology, pathology and restoration (for more research information visit: http://coen.boisestate.edu/faculty-staff2/bio/?id=118).

    Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or a closely related field), and have experience with finite element modeling, computer programming (e.g. C++, labview, matlab), electronics, and mechanical design. The position provides a competitive annual salary and a full tuition waiver for two years. All applicants must satisfy the departmental admission requirements (minimum GPA of 3.0, and a minimum verbal plus quantitative GRE score of 305) .
