Required Qualifications: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in a relevant cognate area that encompasses biomechanics, physical therapy, exercise/movement science or kinesiology (Ph.D., DPT). (ABD will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of conducting research, a record of successful publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or presentations at professional meetings, and a record of prior instructional experience. Professional certifications in relevant area(s) (Example: NSCA-CSCS, AT-C,) preferred.

Applicant Information: The Department of Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Sciences offers Bachelor of Science degrees in several areas including Clinical Physiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Paramedicine as well as minors in Nutrition, Athletic Training, and Exercise Science. In addition, NEHS offers a M.S. in Exercise Science and a M.S. in Nutrition. CWU is on a quarterly system with the academic year beginning September 16 and completing June 15. The opportunity may exist for teaching select classes in a “self-support” summer session. NEHS is in the pre-design phase for a new Health Sciences facility encompassing instructional and research laboratories and state of the art classrooms. Faculty have significant input in this process. - Teach undergraduate/ graduate courses including, but not limited to: Sport and Clinical Biomechanics, Human Anatomy, Principles of Resistance Exercise
- Oversee/ instruct laboratory sessions in biomechanics, cadaver anatomy, and principles of resistance exercise
- Develop multiple undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics
- Play an integral role in a new instructional/ laboratory facility design
- Advise undergraduate majors in Exercise Science and Clinical Physiology
- Advise and mentor graduate students
- Participate in University/College/Department/Professional committees
- Engage in university, departmental and community service
- Participate in curriculum and program development
- Engage in research and scholarly activities
- Participate in writing and procurement of grants
