The Performance Coach is responsible for executing the consistent deployment of the Nike SPARQ Performance Philosophy in all Company initiatives under the direction of the SPARQ Performance Director. In this role you will assist the Performance Director in providing SPARQ Performance Philosophy expertise at various events where performance expertise is required and will execute programming curriculum to support athletes, coaches and trainers. You will also be an ambassador of the SPARQ's Performance Organization at meetings internal and external to Nike.
Requirements for the position include:
•4-year Degree (e.g. Bachelor's), subject area: Exercise Physiology/Sport Science
•In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 years relevant experience may be substituted
•Advanced Certification related to Human Performance
oWorking knowledge of Sports Science and Human Performance, both theoretically and practically
oExceptional attention to detail
oAbility to work in an office and field environment
•Ability to organize, document and deliver compelling presentations in the field of Performance Training and related curriculum
•Superb oral and written communication skills; ability to converse with wide range of athletes/trainers/coaches with different backgrounds and levels of expertise
•Ability to persuade and lead others as it relates to translating the technical terms of Performance Training to a lay person
•Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with the ability to adapt to change and meet timelines without sacrificing quality.
**Position is based at world headquarters outside Portland, OR. Relocation support is available.
