    Since its foundation in 1976, Oxylane Group ( has a very clear goal: to create desirability and make the pleasure of sport accessible to all. All over the world, this purpose is expressed through two complementary areas of expertise:
    - The design and manufacture of sporting goods
    - The retail of sporting goods
    With more than 6 Billions € Turnover, 630 stores and 50 000 people in our staff, Oxylane Group is one of the most important brands in the world. In order to develop more comfortable products, a Research Department was created in 1997. Today, Oxylane Research (40 researchers) wants to reinforce its Movement Sciences Department.

    Mission :

    Within Oxylane Research, you use your knowledge of the human body to develop innovative concepts in the context of "Passion Brand" product design projects.
    - You will work on advanced research programs related to biomechanics and muscle physiology.
    - You will deliver conform and industrialise prototypes.
    - You will decide on the design rules to be implemented for a specific function in finished products.
    - You are responsible for the monitoring plan and you pass on the knowledge garnered in your field of activity.

    Description of the work:

    - You ensure research and technical surveys of your domain (biomechanics and muscle physiology).
    - You organize and manage research programs in collaboration with research labs all over the world.
    - You perform scientific protocols on human subjects.
    - You transfer your scientific findings into technical innovative solutions.
    - You patent your inventions and guarantee confidentiality and industrial property of your projects.
    - You publish your knowledge and findings.

    This is a full-time job, with salary according to experience, based in Villeneuve d’Ascq (Lille, FRANCE).

    Appropriate candidate:

    With an engineering and/or PhD background, you have lead and published research projects on human body in the fields of biomechanics and/or muscle physiology. You have also a successful experience of several years in product design in the industry and skills in FEA (Finite Element Analysis, ABACUS).
    Theoretical and applied knowledge in electronics and also in data processing would be appreciated.

    You have a strong ability for team working, autonomy, creativity and are both rigorous and open-minded. You are also able to convince and have strong communication skills.

    You are an active sportsman or sportswoman.

    You speak fluently French and English.
