The University of Montpellier (France) is seeking applications for a 2 years Post-Doctoral position, starting Sept 2012.
Individualized Tele-Rehabilitation with Serious Games (ITR-SG)
The mission of the postdoc is to develop and validate theoretical and methodological tools to produce adaptive serious games for post-stroke rehabilitation based on predictions of recovery from a computational model.
The candidate should have a strong background in one or several of the following domains: movement neurosciences, engineering in control/mechanics, or computer science. Good mathematical background and excellent skills in modelling and scientific computing (Matlab, C, etc...) are needed. Experience in any of the following will be a plus :
- Control, identification, linear and non-linear dynamical systems, machine learning
- Kinesiology, fMRI, movement analysis, neural and movement correlates of recovery post- stroke
- Clinical experience (especially neurological disorders)
- Middleware architectures, Service oriented computing,
- Games development
Strong interest in interdisciplinary research is mandatory : the post-doc will work in close collaboration with computer scientists, movement scientists, and therapists.
Interested candidates should send via e-mail : a statement of research interest and achievements, a CV, and the names + e-mail of two references to Denis Mottet (denis.mottet@univ-montp1.fr) and Abdelkader Gouaich (abdelkader.gouaich@lirmm.fr).
