    The Department for Health at the University of Bath is looking to make a number of new Lecturer appointments to further strengthen the teaching and research team within the Sport Health & Exercise Science (SHES) Group. SHES are currently responsible for the delivery of one of the top undergraduate programmes in Sport & Exercise Science in the UK, as well as postgraduate programmes in Sport & Exercise Medicine and Sports Physiotherapy.

    We are seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Biomechanics and Motor Control who can contribute flexibly across our taught programmes. The successful applicant will be expected to teach basic and applied aspects of biomechanics and motor control, particularly in relation to skill acquisition/retention. Importantly, the successful applicant will engage in high quality research, and secure external funding to develop and support a systematic programme of research. Whilst we welcome applications within the broad context described above, we particularly welcome applications from individuals with a research focus related to ageing and skill acquisition/retention.
