    A senior lecturer in Sports Sciences/Performance Analysis/Biomechanics is required join the Centre for Sports Sciences & Human Performance. The centre is headed by Professor Alfonso Jimenez and boasts up-to-date high speed 3D motion analysis and modelling, isokinetic/force and wired/telemetric EMG systems and has a strong research ethos.

    You will be a specialist in the area of biomechanics and analysis of human movement, and teaching experience in this area will be essential for the post. You will hold a PhD in Sports Sciences, Exercise Sciences, Kinesiology, Biology, Health Sciences or related areas, and a working knowledge of 3D modelling, signal processing and statistical/mathematical modelling software is desirable. Experience in sports performance analysis is desirable as well. In addition to teaching duties, you will also play a significant role in developing new courses. Experience of teaching at undergraduate level, development of new teaching materials and strategies, as well as expertise in in Biomechanics and related areas will be essential. A track record of research publications will be an advantage.

    In addition to teaching responsibility, you will contribute to supporting work placements for students and to be actively involved in recruitment and retention activities of the Department.
