The Schools of Health Sciences at the University of Salford (UK) and La Trobe University (Australia) are pleased to offer a jointly funded PhD Graduate Teaching Assistantship. The PhD student will be based primarily at the University of Salford (with Professor Chris Nester) but the candidate is expected to spend a period of time in Melbourne (Australia) as part of the research activity (with Professor Hylton Menz and Dr Karl Landorf).
The Graduate Teaching Assistantship covers full PhD tuition fees (for UK/EU students) plus a scholarship to cover living expenses over three years. The scholarships are worth £13,590 per year.

1. Biomechanics of the healthy and/or diseased foot and ankle, and/or
2. Applications of footwear and foot orthotics to management of foot health problems
Teaching duties will be flexible but be in 1 or more of the following areas:
• Gait assessment
• Podiatry, Orthotics
• Physiotherapy
• Clinical Biomechanics
