The Motor Learning Laboratory of Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute (MRRI) has an opening for a BS/BA-level research assistant, beginning summer or fall 2012. Under the direction of Dr. Erin Vasudevan, the laboratory conducts research on how people with and without neurological damage learn new walking patterns, with the goal of developing effective rehabilitation treatments. Our RAs gain valuable experience working closely with individuals with stroke and traumatic brain injury, and are trained to conduct and analyze experiments with human subjects.
Applicants should have a strong academic background in neuroscience, biomechanics, kinesiology, or psychology, with coursework in statistics and research methods. Preference will be given to applicants with prior research experience, particularly in motor control or learning. MRRI and MossRehab are part of the Einstein Healthcare Network.
