RESEARCH ASSISTANT FOR FALL RISK FACTOR STUDY
Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) is an international leader in brain and nervous system research, and endeavours to find the causes of and cures for neurological and psychiatric diseases.
We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant to work on large fall-risk factor studies in older people. Duties include: participant recruitment, assessment of sensory, motor and cardiovascular function (blood pressure, electrocardiogram, vision, reaction time, vestibular function, strength, balance, gait, etc), data entry, collating of assessment reports and following up participants with respect to falls and dizziness episodes with telephone calls.
Essential criteria: a degree in exercise physiology or a related discipline; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated organisational skills; a valid driver’s license.
Desirable criteria: experience working with older people.
