Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD studentship at Anglia Ruskin University working in the Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU) under the supervision of Professor Pardhan and Dr’s Timmis and Latham starting in September 2012.
The successful candidate will be working on a project investigating the effect of visual impairment (namely Retinitis Pigmentosa) on human movement. The student will be involved in assessment of clinical visual function, use of questionnaires and objective assessment of human movement. Applicants should have a first class or upper second degree in Sports Science, Optometry or an appropriate subject. Full training in human movement analysis and visual function will be provided.
The student will have been awarded a first, or upper second class honours degree from a UK or equivalent institution. The scholarship will provide tuition fees (UK and EU only) and a maintenance grant for the successful applicant.
