    The School of Human Movement Studies, Centre for Sensorimotor Neuroscience is currently seeking a Post doctoral research fellow (Research Officer) to provide leadership and support for a research project into how a deeper understanding of muscle mechanics can increase performance in sports that predominantly require lower extremity extension power. The appointee will work on campus at St Lucia and at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) facility in Canberra.

    The position would suit applicants with a background in biomechanics who have a demonstrated interest and research experience in the area of muscle mechanics. Applicants must have completed a PhD in Biomechanics or similar discipline, with evidence of quality research papers and be expected to contribute to the School and Centre's research output in the discipline area.

    This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 3 years at Academic Research Level B. Remuneration will be in the range $79,861.17 - $94,834.88 p.a. (FTE), plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $93,437.57 - $110,956.81 p.a. (FTE) including employer superannuation contributions).
