  • PhD positions in Occupational Biomechanics: Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia

    The Occupational Exercise Science (OES) group at Deakin University conduct research in the area of occupational biomechanics. Specifically, mutiple projects investigating the effect of heat, cold, load carriage, vibration and shock on performance and injury are well under way.

    To facilitate this research, the biomechanics laboratory at Deakin is well equipped with climate chamber, 2 motion capture systems (12-camera outdoor and 24 camera lab-based), telemetry EMG, isokinetic dynamometers, GPS units, portable and in-ground forceplates.

    The OES group is seeking potential PhD students who are interested in this area of research. Scholarship applications Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens are currently open but close 31 Oct 2012. Scholarships for international applicants open 1 Feb 2013 and close 1 May 2013.
