Comparative Biomedical Sciences
Location: Nr Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Salary: £26,015
per annum inclusive

This is a fixed term contract until 31 May 2013; there may be a possibility of a further extension until 14 November 2013.
You will be a Research Technician who will work in the Structure & Motion Group, where you will support comparative biomechanics research in the research team of Dr Monica Daley, investigating locomotor dynamics, stability and energy cost of walking and running in ground birds.
You will assist all stages of the research. This includes handling and exercising of birds, collection and analysis of data and implementing Good Research Practice and Health and Safety.
You should have enthusiasm for research, a science-related degree or HND/HNC and experience in biomechanics, physiology or engineering. You must be willing to handle and work around ground birds.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate right to work in the UK (UK or EEA nationals, or already in possession of a valid visa with right to work).
