    The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Georgia invites applicants for a full‐time, tenure‐track, assistant professor position in the area of athletic training/biomechanics beginning August, 2013. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Biomechanics or related field. Evidence of successful teaching and research in athletic training/biomechanics in a CAATE accredited athletic training education program and potential for securing external funding. Certified Athletic Trainer credential with at least 3 years of clinical experience. Eligible for Georgia licensure. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in athletic training and biomechanics. Establish a focused line of research in biomechanics involving undergraduate and graduate students. Seek external funding for research projects and educational programs. Advise graduate students, and direct master’s and doctoral students’ thesis and dissertation research. Participate in the development of the athletic training and biomechanics programs and serve on department, college, and university committees. SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
