    The program in Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University (NAU) is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at its Flagstaff campus. The program delivers a team-taught, entry-level DPT curriculum. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include contributing or chairing courses related to musculoskeletal physical therapy and clinical exercise physiology. Other expectations include research and dissemination, student advisement, and service to the department, college, university, and profession.

    We seek a candidate for the Flagstaff campus with a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. Minimum qualifications include: 1) eligibility for physical therapy licensure in Arizona and 2) An earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited institution in the sciences related to physical therapy. For appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates need 3 years or more of clinical experience in the area of orthopedic physical therapy. In addition, those nearing completion of a doctorate (ABD) may be considered, but the doctorate must be completed by the start date. For Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor, candidates needs 5 years or more of clinical experience in the area of orthopedic physical therapy.

    Additional preferred qualifications include: 1) experience with various classroom technologies and web-based tools; 2) Clinical specialization related to the area of clinical experience; 3) a demonstrated commitment to work with diverse cultural backgrounds; 4) prior teaching experience at the university level. For Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, the successful candidate will have evidence of or potential for scholarship in a physical therapy related area with preference given to evidence of scholarly work in the discipline of exercise science. For Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor, the successful candidate will have an established record of scholarly productively and/or external funding in a physical therapy related area with preference given to scholarly work in the discipline of exercise science
