The Physical Therapy Department at California State University, Long Beach is searching to fill a tenure-track position for August of 2013. The position is in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation and it requires teaching [including biomechanics], research and service. Please see the position description below.
The Physical Therapy Program at CSULB produces highly successful graduates. There are many exciting opportunities for new faculty with the recent transition to the entry-level DPT curriculum in May of 2012 and preparation for a faculty practice and for a new PT orthopaedic residency program.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Physical therapist with post entry-level doctorate degree at time of appointment; 2) Evidence of ability to
teach graduate courses in Physical Therapy with an emphasis on Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation; 3) Evidence of ability to initiate active scholarly research and supervise student research; 4) 2 years of clinical experience; 5) Licensed, or be eligible for licensure, as a Physical Therapist in California; 6) Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population.
DESIRED/PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS: 1) PhD in Physical Therapy; 2) Two or more years of clinical practice in Neuromusculoskeletal Disability; 3) Two years of teaching experience in Physical Therapy with an emphasis in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation; 4) An established research program in Physical Therapy as demonstrated by published research or scholarly activity.
DUTIES: Teach a variety of graduate physical therapy courses; Supervise graduate physical therapy students in directed research projects; Advise students; Participate in supervision of students in their clinical internships; Conduct research/scholarly activities; Engage in Departmental, College and University governance and Community Service.
