  • Professor and Department Chair, Biomedical Engineering

Applications are invited for the tenured position of Professor and Department Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University.

Established in 1989, the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) currently has 13 full-time regular faculty and over 40 associate or adjunct faculty, 380 undergraduate and graduate students, and a long history of programmatic ties to the Medical College of Wisconsin and Zablocki VA Medical Center. Strengths include biomechanics (especially movement and tissue) and rehabilitation (especially neurorehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation). A new engineering building enabled expansion of teaching and research space for BME in the Fall 2012.

The ideal candidate will have a strong history of extramurally funded biomedical research, strong educational experience in BME, and leadership skills to further develop partnerships and collaborative initiatives in BME at MU and the greater Milwaukee region.

See the Department of Biomedical Engineering website for more information (http://www.marquette.edu/engineering/biomedical/), or contact Jack Winters (Chair, Search Committee) at jack.winters@mu.edu.
