A doctoral position is available in biomechanics within the new PhD program in Kinesiology at the University of Windsor, Windsor, ON, Canada, starting in September 2013. Students interested in advancing experimental and modeling work focused on quantifying the role of soft and rigid tissues in the attenuation and propagation of shock following upper and lower extremity impacts, and the use of this information in the prevention of impact-related injuries, should apply.
The PhD program has a community-based focus, capitalizing on current research strengths in Applied Human Performance. Each doctoral student has to complete 4 courses, including an internship with a community partner, and a seminar. Funding for graduate and research assistantships will be available to all students in the program.
For specific information regarding this doctoral position in upper/lower extremity impact biomechanics, please contact David Andrews using the contact information below. More information on the program can be found at: http://www.uwindsor.ca/kinesiology/phd-program.
