Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, invites applications for a full time, 12-month tenure track position in the Department of Physical Therapy. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and professional service activities, hold a research doctoral degree with potential for extramural funding. Research related to rehabilitation or movement science is of particular interest to the Department.
Eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska is required, and teaching expertise in at least one of the following content areas is preferred: Neuromuscular, cardiovascular and pulmonary, differential diagnosis, or prosthetics. Applicants must have a record of scholarly productivity or demonstrated potential for success in generating grants and peer-reviewed publications.
The Department of Physical Therapy, with 16 full-time faculty members, is an integral part of a comprehensive health science campus. The Department has established itself as a leader in clinical doctoral education, offering entry-level and clinical residency programs, nationally-funded research laboratories (http://cures.creighton.edu) and service to the profession through academic excellence and scholarship. The faculty educates and mentors the professional development of future physical therapists, contributes to the evolving base of physical therapy knowledge, and serves the community by being "men and women for and with others".
