The UCAM - Research Center for High Performance Sport is currently seeking a Deputy Executive Coordinator for the Master in High Performance Sport: Strength and Conditioning (NSCA ERP Program) to provide leadership and support for the master and for related research projects.
The appointee will work on campus at the Research Center for High Performance Sport facility in Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM) at Murcia (Spain).
The position would suit applicants with a background in biomechanics who have a demonstrated interest and research experience in the area of Performance, Strength and Conditioning. Applicants must have completed a PhD in Biomechanics or similar discipline, with evidence of quality research papers and be expected to contribute to the Labs and Center's research output in the discipline area.
Evidence of potential in grant scholarship and external funding; strong publication record, and evidence of innovative research and a history of success. Demonstrated strong, creative and critical thinking skills, to work effectively both individual and as a part of a team with high level interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Desired: Foster excellence and encourage a team approach in the related discipline through leadership in research, teaching, and active participation in pertinent professional organizations; relevant practical/clinical experience and certifications; experience with online teaching and learning. Adherence to the identity values of the University.
Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Deputy Executive Coordinator:
- Participate in curriculum development;
- Recruit, advise, and train students in the M.Ed., M.S., and Ph.D. degree plans, including supervision of graduate research;
- Teach graduate and post-graduate classes in exercise science, particularly the fitness, conditioning, and performance track.
- Establish a successful research program leading to publications in premier refereed journals, presentations in national and international venues, and extramural funding;
- Perform Department, University, community, and professional service.
- Undertake relevant administrative duties in accordance with the parameters of the position, including participant in Faculty and/or Universities Committees.
- Undertake other activities associated with the UCAM - Research Center for High Performance Sport which the incumbent might reasonable be expected to do, and which are consistent with the specific account abilities and responsibilities outlined above.
