Tenure Track Faculty Position
The Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences at Drexel University in the College of Nursing and Health Professions is seeking applicants with expertise in orthopaedics for a 12-month tenure track faculty appointment. For over 30 years our nationally-ranked programs have used evidence-based practice and strong clinical research to advance the field and prepare students for leadership as research scientists, educators, and clinicians.
Qualifications:
1. Research-based doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent), with post-doctoral research experience preferred.
2. Potential for excellence as a research scientist in the study of orthopaedics including the ability to initiate collaborate projects and obtain extramural funding.
Applicants should have a focused research agenda in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
3. Capability to mentor PhD students.
4. Ability to teach in PhD and DHSc programs and professional DPT curriculum.
5. Eligible for Pennsylvania licensure as a physical therapist.
Join us as we move into a new 21,000 sq. ft. space housing research laboratories and a multidisciplinary clinical practice in Spring 2013. Laboratory space and start-up package will be negotiated based upon the candidate’s needs and record of research success. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
