This full-time, permanent position is based at High Performance Sport New Zealand, located at the Millenium Institute of Sport & Health, in Mairangi Bay, Auckland.
The successful candidate will work with high performance swimmers from Swimming New Zealand and /or Paralympics New Zealand, delivering biomechanical support to elite athletes and coaches in the day-to day training and competition environment.
To succeed in this role you will have a passion for sport, and an understanding of the needs of elite athletes and coaches. You will have experience working in a high performance environment (ideally in swimming) and be qualified in biomechanics or a related field. You will have the ability to analyse a sport’s needs to develop, implement and evaluate effective athlete support. You will also be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with coaches, athletes and support staff.
