  • WIAMan Project seeking Chief Technology Officer, Aberdeen Proving Ground MD

The Warrior Injury Assessment Manikin (WIAMan) Project Management Office
(PMO) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The WIAMan PMO has been
established at the US Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground,
MD, USA to execute a multi-year research and development effort that will lead to
the creation of an anthropomorphic test device (ATD) that is valid for use
in the military under-body blast environment. The WIAMan project will execute
medical and biomechanics research to investigate the effects of vertical
accelerative loading on the human musculoskeletal system. The products of
this research will be combined with other research and engineering in the
fields of instrumentation, data acquisition systems, the under-body blast
loading environment experienced by soldiers in military vehicles, and
anthropomorphic test device technology. These activities will be integrated and
support the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype ATDs and the
creation of a technical data package to support production
of the WIAMan ATD. The position of CTO will be filled using the
Intergovernmental Personnel Act Mobility Program (see
    https://www.opm.gov/programs/ipa/index.asp). For more information about
the CTO position and duties, interested parties should contact
Mr. Randolph S. Coates, Deputy Project Manager via email
