Lecturer/Practitioner in Clinical Gait Analysis
The University of Salford are looking to recruit a Clinical Gait Analyst to support and develop the work of Professor Baker’s GAITway initiative – to open new pathways to improve walking through education training and research. The post holder will be expected to manage the University’s clinical gait analysis service and be responsible for conducting approximately two gait analysis per week. He or she will also be expected to be involved in developing and delivering post-graduate and continuing professional development programmes including a new European Masters Programme in Clinical Movement Analysis. He or she will also be expected to participate in our research programme which focusses on the measurement, modelling and the understanding of human walking.
The post-holder will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant professional area and be registered with the Health Professions Council (as a physiotherapist, clinical scientist/engineer or other relevant profession - an offer of employment may be made provisional to such registration being obtained for candidates not already registered). Applicants from outside the EU are welcome but European employment law compels us to give preference to appropriately qualified EU citizens.
Salary: £37,012-£44,166 - full-time permanent
