    Training in Rehabilitation Efficacy and Effectiveness Trials (TREET)

    T32 Postdoctoral Training Program

    The University of Southern California (USC) Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy seeks applicants for a National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research-funded T32 postdoctoral training program entitled Training in Rehabilitation Efficacy and Effectiveness Trials (TREET).

    TREET provides intensive, mentored training in randomized controlled trial methodology for the evaluation of complex rehabilitation interventions. TREET trainees have access to USC’s extensive research infrastructure and are immersed in externally funded clinical trial research programs in the following areas: neurorehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, protective and risk factors in adults with disabilities, community-based rehabilitation, and innovative technology.

    Trainees are fully funded for two years. Upon completion of the program, trainees will be expected to have published a minimum of three research articles, given a minimum of two poster or paper presentations, and have submitted an NIH proposal for an R, F, or K award.

    • Ph.D. in a field related to rehabilitation within the last five years. Clinical doctoral degrees (e.g., MD, OTD, DPT) will be considered in exceptional cases in which significant research experience is documented.
    • History of productive involvement in research relevant to rehabilitation science
    • All candidates must be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents
