Bioengineering is a key strategic research theme for the UCD School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering. The School is now seeking to fill a temporary full-time 3 year College Lecturer post with the specified purpose of undertaking teaching duties in the Bioengineering area during the secondment of a senior academic staff member. In addition to the ability to lecture, and to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects in the bioengineering area, the successful candidate will play a leadership role in sustaining and growing the School’s bioengineering research portfolio. Particular emphasis will be given to the areas of biomechanics, medical device design, and related areas.
2010 Lecturer (above the bar) Salary Scale: €50,807 - €81,452 per annum
2011 Lecturer (above the bar) Salary Scale: €45,726 - €73,307 per annum *
* Subject to all new entrants to public sector as of 01 January 2011
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
