The University of Virginia, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, is seeking applicants for a Research Assistant position at the Center for Applied Biomechanics. Required qualifications include an MS in biomechanical or mechanical engineering or a related field with a strong background and extensive experience in experimental testing of both biological and non-biological materials. The successful candidate's background must include the design and construction of test fixtures, data acquisition, and experimental design. Candidates must have a proven record of proposal, report, and journal writing. Duties include involvement with all aspects of experimental test programs, data analysis, and scholarly writing. Applicants are advised that the position involves the use of cadaveric material.
This is a six-month limited-term position.
