Biomedical Engineering Faculty

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Khalifa University is seeking candidates for faculty and postdoctoral appointments at all levels. Although exceptional candidates in any relevant discipline are sought, there is particular interest in research addressing cardio metabolic disorders (specifically diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases) and sensorimotor coordination using techniques including computational and physical (e.g. robotic) modeling, nano/micro technologies and devices, biomechanics and computational biomechanics, novel Biosignal processing and imaging techniques, biomaterials and regenerative medicine, and physiological experimentation. Candidates interested in translational research and entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will join the Department of Biomedical Engineering with potential for joint appointments in other units in the College of Engineering and in the future College of Medicine & Health Sciences. Faculty members will be expected to develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, to supervise graduate students, and to initiate and lead funded research projects and teams.
Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field. All applicants must demonstrate a proven track record of high-quality scientific research, as evidenced by their publication records and letters of recommendation.
